30 years of the bilan de compétences in France - colloquium and General Assembly in Paris

On the occasion of 30 years of the bilan de competences and 25 years of the law that legalized the process, the CIBC network and Centre Inffo assemble national and European forces on one of the key today’s topic – lifelong guidance. Following the conference of 4 September 2014 that helped to highlight all the questions posed by the reform, this event will bring responses that are currently being proposed in order to strengthen the coherence of multidisciplinary, interinstitutional and multifactorial systems implemented by the reform (training, guidance, validation). The objective is to take into account all the dimensions and existing devices and to enhance the overall logic of the system.

According to plan all Project partners from France, Belgium, Slovakia, Germany and the Czech Republic have met from 07-07-2016 to 08-07-2016 to the final transnational Project meeting in Prague. The discussion initially focused on the final completion of the curriculum for the training of competence counsellors (Intellectual Output 2). Together final decisions were made, so that by the end of July 2015, the curriculum will initially be available in English.

More than one in four (27%) European employees are in dead-end positions with skills higher than needed to do their job and limited potential to grow. At the same time, 22% of employees say that their skills have not developed since they started their current job. These are some of the findings of Cedefop’s European skills and jobs (ESJ) survey, discussed at a high-level conference in Thessaloniki on 7 and 8 December 2015. FECBOP was present as a representative of organizations providing career guidance across multiple sectors in 11 partner countries.
